Homestay Policy

ECC ESL Canadian College is working with local Homestay Companies to provide you with appropriate Homestay services. Homestay families are carefully selected by the local Homestay Companies. They take into account students' interests, location, safety, friendliness, comfort, care, facilities, and background. It is as much your responsibility to fit into the lifestyle of your specially selected family as it is for them to provide you with a safe, friendly, educational, and caring environment. We ask for your feedback on your host family regularly to ensure your happiness. All students can expect the following from their host family: a comfortable private bedroom with study desk and lamp, access to a bathroom, use of a TV, telephone, and laundry facilities, three daily meals made available. (dinner usually with the family).
Note: Snacks, maid service, and extra events are not included.

Each family has its own house rules regarding smoking, alcohol consumption, responsibilities, cleaning, security, noise, visitors, telephone use, meal times, etc. Please inform us if you are a smoker and remember to confirm your booking before arriving. Please try to discuss any requests or concerns you have with your homestay family directly before contacting ECC ESL Canadian College or the Homestay Company.

Homestay is available for the time of study only. Changes to Homestay bookings require 30 days notice to allow Homestay families and the Homestay Company to make the necessary arrangements.

Homestay price scheme

A) Homestay fee for four weeks is CAD $ 800.00.
B) Placement Fee is CAD $ 220.00.
C) Airport pick up fee is CAD $80.00.

ECC ESL Canadian College is working with local tour companies to provide you with quality and affordable tours. You could travel to Victoria, Tofino, Whistler, Rocky Mountains, and many more places with people from around the world. See incredible mountains, amazing lakes, wide-open spaces and beautiful animals while learning about Canadian culture and its language - English!

Health insurance

ECC ESL Canadian College is working with an important and reputable health insurance company to provide you with a comprehensive and affordable health insurance. Remember that you must have valid medical insurance for at least 30 days when you arrive in Canada. Further insurance can be purchased with us after your arrival.
